What signing in does and does not prove
  • A sign-in link proves control of the email address. It does not establish a role, authority, or permission for any product action.
  • Entering Controller also requires an active membership record. An account without one is refused, and so is a revoked one.
  • Member presence shows that an authenticated active session is connected. It does not show that a person is looking at the screen or working.
